Garmin unveiled last week its latest connected watch, Quatix 5, designed for water sports enthusiasts.

This watch water connected GPS was created specifically for those who are fond of water. It incorporates the features of the famous multisport watch Garmin fenix the 5, and adds new opportunities for boating and fishing.

For boating enthusiasts, it is fully connectable with the technology present on board, including Garmin chartplotters and other brands, and can control the autopilot, create remote waypoints and display navigation data (speed, depth , temperature and wind). The sailors can also benefit from dedicated features such as countdown, the display of the distance to the start line or assistance to tack.

Fishermen have a stopwatch and a log of catch of the day, as well as information on tides over seven days. The Quatix 5 also offers an anchor alarm to inform fishermen of the possible drift of the boat, and she knows calculating the anchor length to unwind at anchor.

The Quatix 5 was designed based on the water: it can be used up to 100 meters. It is also made to withstand harsh environments especially at sea, since it offers a display conspicuous color even when the light is bright.
